- Perfect for remodeling, the wall oven will fit in many single wall oven cutouts already in consumers’ homes
- Upper oven capacity is ideal for cooking small family meals and snacks
- Lower, larger oven offers the performance of convection baking
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Sept. 26, 2013 — (NYSE: GE) — Imagine a wall oven that offers the cooking versatility of a double oven without the home remodeling requirements that can come with it. This is a design challenge that GE engineers accepted head-on with its single-double wall oven.
“The GE single-double wall oven is an industry-first for kitchens: two ovens in one without requiring conversion of the space to accommodate a second oven,” said Jonathan Bostock, marketing manager, GE Cooking Products.
Double Cooking Performance
The oven’s unique benefits don’t end at installation. Consumers can save preheating time, along with energy, using the smaller, top oven to bake items such as cookies or a pizza. The lower oven can cook a large roast or turkey using true European convection technology. The two ovens combined are 5.0 cubic feet, the most usable capacity in the industry.
“Consumers love our single-double wall oven because it provides greater flexibility in the kitchen,” said Bostock. “The large bottom oven can fit a 22-pound turkey while the smaller top oven allows you to cook multiple side dishes at different temperatures. Consumers get the benefits and capacity of two wall ovens requiring only single-oven space.”
