Shawn Stover serves as the Vice President of SmartHome Solutions for GE Appliances. In his role, he is responsible for the initiatives that fuel the growth and profitability for GE Appliances and Haier that position them as a leader in the Smart Home space. With a history of bringing firsts in appliances with the most forward-thinking, global smart home technologies, he helps connect owners to meaningful innovations that add conveniences and efficiencies to their lives.
Stover also leads GE Appliances’ overall SmartHome Solutions IoT strategy to develop a portfolio of products and custom possibilities that deliver convenience and peace of mind to people. The SmartHome Solutions group aims to transform the heart of the home and how owners experience the kitchen, laundry, and many of life’s everyday moments. It combines GE Appliances’ Connected Technology and Information Technology teams, which are charged with helping people manage their households in new ways—and more efficiently. The group continues to expand the Haier U+ Smart Life Platform in the United States. The Haier U+ platform—the world’s first and largest integrated total home solution—is the foundation for our connected products. A fully open platform, U+ was designed as a single solution to connect and control an entire household through five living zones: the smart living room, smart kitchen, smart bathroom, smart bedroom, and smart laundry. Within those zones, U+ integrates devices for seven key elements of the home: air, water supply, food, cleaning and care, safety, health, and entertainment.
Stover has been with GE Appliances since 1998. Previous to his current role, Stover held multiple leadership roles in sales, marketing and product management with GE Appliances. GE Appliances, a Haier company, is a leader in WiFi-connected appliance technology, making owners’ lives easier while improving their daily routines. Stover is passionate about thoughtful innovation and bringing real value to their product owners. He plays an active role in driving industry conversations around smart appliances and the IoT, and his team works diligently to develop an ecosystem of products and partners that work together to provide their owners with the choice and convenience they desire.
