Marc Charnas is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at GE Appliances.
Marc joined GE Appliances in 1996 in the controller’s group as the International Accounting Manager. Since that time, he has held various Manager of Finance positions, including Range & Laundry Manufacturing, Contract Appliance Sales, Product Management for Dishwasher/Clothes Care as well as Refrigeration, NPI & Marketing. During this time he graduated from the Experienced Financial Leadership Program where he gained experiences with NBC as well as GE Capital Europe. In 2005, Marc took an executive role in the Lean Six Sigma Organization where he was the Quality Finance Leader for GE Consumer & Industrial, earning his Master Black Belt designation. Marc returned to the Finance Organization in 2008 where he held executive positions as Finance Leader for the Commercial and Global Supply Chain teams.
Marc attended the University of Kentucky and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting as well as a Masters of Science degree in Accounting. Upon graduation, he accepted a position with Arthur Andersen LLP, earning his Certified Public Accounting license.
Marc is active in the local community where he has served as a member of the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana as well as Executive Board Member and Treasurer of Jewish Family & Career Services.
Marc and his wife reside in Louisville, Kentucky.
