From supporting our healthcare workers and first responders with new appliances to supplying personal protective equipment to hospitals and medical facilities, GE Appliances is banding together with communities during the COVID-19 crisis.

Over the last month, we have launched GEA4Heroes through which—in partnership with United Way Worldwide—a significant portion of the products that were made during the first two weeks of April will be donated to healthcare workers and first responder professionals in need. We’ve increased our support and outreach to local community-based agencies, providing donations of appliances and additional critical supplies. We’ve donated more than 120,000 masks and 100,000 gloves to healthcare facilities and agencies in the five states where we manufacture appliances. And we’ve partnered with our FirstBuild microfactory to mass produce PPE such as face shields and intubation boxes for hospitals.

As we continue to identify opportunities to contribute supplies, leverage our supply chain, and donate time and resources, here’s a recap of the work already underway that’s making a difference in communities across the U.S.
