REDWOOD CITY, Calif.Dec. 5, 2017  Innit—an eating technology company behind the world's first Connected Food Platform—today released a first-of-its-kind app that makes everyday cooking less complicated, stressful, and time-consuming for home cooks of all skill levels.

Representing a major leap forward from the traditional and one-dimensional recipe format, the Innit app is the first and only to integrate all four phases of the eating ritual—planning, shopping, preparing and cooking—and assists home cooks with each phase through a seamless system that builds confidence in the kitchen. The Innit experience serves a wide range of home cooks, from those struggling to get food on the table to those looking to cook more frequently at home, and even those aficionados looking to cook more creatively.

"There is nothing more personal than the way we eat," said Eugenio Minvielle, founder of Innit, who previously served as CEO of Unilever North America and Nestlé France. "The Innit app is designed to help anyone cook and think differently about meal logistics at home. We built the Innit platform to not only help you prepare a meal, but also to give you the confidence to conquer the daily kitchen challenges that get in the way of making and sharing great-tasting home-cooked meals every day."

Key highlights of the app include:

  • PERSONALIZED TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
You don't need to overhaul your life to use Innit. Innit adapts to you and your family's wants, needs and existing rituals. Innit makes home cooking more accessible by recommending delicious personalized meals for you and your family based on diet, allergies and dislikes. Then, it lets you easily customize elements of your meal, allowing you to experiment with new flavors and ingredients to match your cravings by making the most of what you have in your fridge or by creating a time-saving smart shopping list through the tap of a button.

  • CULINARY GPS FROM POINT A TO B
Follow your inspiration and orchestrate delicious meals with ease with Innit's guided how-to videos and real-time cooking guidance that update with every customization you make. The app intelligently sequences multiple steps from several dishes simultaneously—ensuring that all components of your meal are fresh and ready at the same time—saving you precious time and energy.

  • MAKES YOUR APPLIANCES WORK HARDER AND YOUR KITCHEN SMARTER
Innit coordinates even the most complicated meals seamlessly, helping you take full advantage of the appliances you own and automatically controlling ones that are smart. At launch, Innit connects with GE Appliances ovens and Bosch smart ovens with Home Connect technology. When connected, Innit's adaptive cooking programs seamlessly send cooking instructions specifically tailored to your food and your appliance—delivering optimal results and notifying you when your meal is ready.

Innit has partnered with GE Appliances, the first manufacturer offering a full suite of connected products in the US with more than 100 connected models available. Innit has also partnered with Bosch Home Connect, an open-platform solution that allows appliances from different brands, including Bosch Smart Ovens, to be controlled with one app. Philips Kitchen Appliances, who created the original Airfryer and Smoke-less Grill, Perfect Company, the leading developer of smart kitchen scales, and Chef'd, an at-home, high-quality ingredient meal store have also partnered with Innit and further details regarding these and other partnerships will be available when they launch on the platform early next year.

"It is a privilege to play an important role in helping people eat, a responsibility we take to heart," said Innit's Chief Operating Officer, Josh Sigel. "Together with our incredible team and dedicated partners we are looking forward to continuing to build our global connected food platform spanning appliance manufacturers, grocery and e-commerce retailers, food brands, publishers and others." Sigel added, "Our goal is for consumers to experience that their lives are better and simpler with Innit. We are committed to making a difference in people's lives and continuing to build a brand that stands for The Way You Eat."

This year during the Smart Kitchen Summit, Innit announced the launch of its platform together with celebrity chef Tyler Florence. Innit is also working with Sam Kass (a former White House chef and Senior Policy Advisor for Nutrition) and Gerard Dupont (honorary President of the French Culinary Academy). Innit's Advisory Board members include Arnaud de Puyfontaine (Vivendi CEO), Julio Frenk (President of Miami University), Maura O'Neill (former USAID CIO), and Raymond McCauley (Biotech Chair of Singularity University).

Consumers can download the Innit app for iOS in the Apple App Store.
