LOUISVILLE, Ky. – February 11, 2026 — GE Appliances, a Haier company, today announced that Lalania Gilkey-Johnson has been appointed Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary, reporting directly to Kevin Nolan, Chief Executive Officer, and serving as a key member of the company’s senior leadership team based at Appliance Park – its global headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky.

In this role, Gilkey-Johnson has overall responsibility for GE Appliances’ global legal services, corporate governance, security, compliance and ethics, and enterprise risk management. She also serves as Chief Compliance Officer, ensuring that legal and regulatory considerations are embedded in strategic planning and decision-making.

Gilkey-Johnson previously served as Interim General Counsel and brings more than 25 years of executive legal and business leadership, including over a decade leading high-performing commercial teams before becoming an attorney.

Gilkey-Johnson’s experience spans manufacturing, consumer goods, technology, and government procurement. Since joining GE Appliances in 2021, she has taken on roles of increasing responsibility and partnered closely with leaders across Commercial, Sourcing, Privacy, International, M&A, and Governance. She previously held legal leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies and began her legal career at a large Chicago law firm. Gilkey-Johnson earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and her bachelor’s degree from Howard University. She serves on the board of the Fund for the Arts in Louisville and is a frequent national speaker on business enablement, governance, compliance, and supply-chain risk.

Gilkey-Johnson’s appointment further strengthens GE Appliances’ leadership bench as the company continues to invest in people, American manufacturing, and expansion. She will play a central role in enabling the company to address strategic initiatives that shape the future of the business.
