Daniel A. Rowley is Vice President, Legal, at GE Appliances.
Dan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Wittenberg University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law where he was Executive Editor of the Law Review.
Dan joined GE as Counsel at Transportation Systems in 1992. Since 1998, he has been the General Counsel of several GE businesses, including Aero Energy, Energy Products, Transportation Systems, Equipment Services, Plastics, Enterprise Solutions, Appliances & Lighting, and Corporate IT, Sourcing and Licensing. While at GE Energy, he led the Power Products Group and the Commercial Law Group. He also served as the first Commercial Excellence Leader for the GE Legal Operation. He has been a member of the Supply Chain Advisory Committee of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
He was law clerk to Chief Judge Collins J. Seitz, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Prior to joining GE, he practiced law in Washington, D.C., at Covington & Burling and as a partner at Nixon, Hargrave, Devans and Doyle.
Dan resides in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife. They have two children.
